Pastor/Evangelist Maurice Berry has a passion for studying, teaching, and preaching the word of God. His love for God's people and compassion for the lost both locally and abroad can be seen throughout his life and his ministry.  His desire is to see God's people clothe in the character of Christ and ultimately be saved in the Kingdom to come. Pastor Berry is a renowned evangelist, who has traveled to six continents preaching and teaching the word of God in its purest form. He was born in Detroit, MI, and is the oldest of 5 children. He comes from a long line of Baptist preachers.

At the age of 19, he was invited to a Daniel and Revelation Seminar at City Temple SDA church in Detroit. Unknown to him, it would be at this said seminar the Lord would call him into ministry. Three months later he resigned from General Motors, where he worked as a supervisor, in order to serve God as a Literature Evangelist in the Seventh Day Adventist Church. While serving, the Holy Spirit was preparing him for the next phase of his journey. He persevered in the field for 5 years.

Led by the Holy Spirit, in 1983, he enrolled at Oakwood College and later went to Andrews University. While Pastor Berry was attending Oakwood College, the Lord called him to be the Associate Publishing Director for the South Atlantic Conference of SDA, where he rendered his services for several years. Pastor Maurice Berry earned a Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Theology from Hartland Institute.

Relentless in his vision and clear in his principles, Pastor Berry stands strong in his commitment to sharing the Three Angel’s Messages through the dynamic of aggressive outreach, caring relationships and daring discipleship. He takes very seriously his commissioned mandate to "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations", (Mathew 28:18-20), and his response to this directive has led him to preach the gospel to many local communities while supporting missions worldwide.

 

The Lord has opened the door for him to enter into self-supporting work while having his own ministry. He and his wife, Julia Berry, have been married since 1997. They have 6 adult children and now serves as a self-supporting evangelist.
